These are NOT GRAPHIC NOVELS but I had to add it . The DiscWorld series are some of the funniest books I've ever read , Terry's humor is super while he weave into his fantasies elements of our everyday life , aiming at the modern society , and spreading metaphors the way only he can . His writing reminds me of Douglas Adams "Hitchhiker's Guide" only funnier , even if you are not into fantasy fiction you'll enjoy these books from the first page .
Here's a short example ; "... Hrun the Barbarian crept soundlessly along the corridors ...On the Whole , the unpleasant carving and occasional disjointed skeletons he passed held no fears for Hurn . This was partly because he was not exceptionally bright while being at the same time exceptionally unimaginative , but it was also because odd carving and perilous tunnels were all in a day's work . He spent a great deal of time in similar situations , seeking gold or demons or distressed virgins and relieving them respectively of their owners , their lives and at least one cause of their distress ." From the 1st book in the series The Color of Magic .
Please notice that these wonderful illustrated covers by Josh Kirby are available only in Corgi editions , Amazon.com might sell another editions with other covers ( but that are probably just as funny ) .
