how-to books > How to draw great looking comic book women By Christopher Hart
Another rip off by Mr. Hart , his books seem to be all the same basic , really not helping much titles with flashy covers to lure you in . NOT this one , it DOESN'T even have an attractive cover . The book title claim a focus on drawing beautiful sexy women , yet only about 20 pages relate to the subject in some sort of lame way which will not help you much . The Information is very scarce , superficial , with no real insight , no demonstration , no useful tips . Just lots of color drawings accompanied by some dull text them with no real value add . Basically you can look at color comics you like and get the same level of help . See the page example , it teaches "curves" , but its just drawing of sexy comic woman you can find the sort of in any comic book . It doesn't teach how to draw tits and ass , how to make them curve and voluptuous how they hang or squashed . And that is be warned one of the few "good" samples where the art is nice and sexy , other drawings in this "how to draw" book are anatomically incorrect . Whats worse is that this book has no basics drawing techniques either , so you'll get almost nothing out of it no matter what level you are . The basics it does teach are part lacking , misleading , confusing and not helping , i.e. teaching muscles is done by showing women exercise in different poses with no focus , on the muscle group , just useless . 144 pages is considered a thin book but even that is more then needed to contain the information with in , so the pages are full with big repeating samples that teach you nothing and large text titles , A page begin each section to "waste" more pages that could hold informative text instead . It is like someone had to fill the allocated space yet he didn't have anything useful to say , so there is a dull section with finished art of women characters , how to break in comics , interviews with editors and other useless stuff . Did I say its a useless book ? > Copyright © Christopher Hart . All rights reserved . |
